Did I forget how to have fun?

I fulfil my responsibilities,
I get all my work done.
But at the end of the day,
I forgot how to have fun.

The idea of fun is subjective
and differs for everyone.
But if you ask me for ideas,
I probably forgot how to have fun.

Socializing comes naturally to some,
or at least one comfortable connection.
But I have to rewire myself before any interaction
because apparently, I forgot how to have fun.

At times, I zone out in a social meeting,
and people have interpretations of my expression.
Rather I am just expressionless in the moment,
and it’s not like I forgot how to have fun.

I have a bunch of qualities,
some mesmerize some stun.
But if you see none in me,
you probably don’t fit my idea of fun.

I have my own world
that I am compelled to share with none.
But those who belong in it and love me
never question if I forgot to have fun.

There are no rules to expressing it;
with a bunch of thoughts, it may have already begun.
It’s not just about laughing and looking happy,
I might already be having a lot of fun.

Enjoying something now
doesn’t guarantee interest in the long run.
I grow and also grow out of ideas,
and so do my ideas of fun.
