When I turned into a man!

It is an unexplained and weird phenomenon when creepy thoughts hit your head, that too in the dead of the night. But you also secretly enjoy them. Everyone is guilty of this pleasure. But what if the thought comes to life the next morning?

I also went to bed with a weird thought in my head – what if I turned into a man? What would I do? How would I feel about it? And then…

It was night, as I combed my hair,
and I decided to rest on the chair.
Drowsiness led me to my bed,
and I was asleep as soon as the pillow touched my head.
Flowery dreams kept me amused all night,
while to the screaming silence, I slept tight.

I woke up to the rising sun,
looking forward to the day’s girly fun.
But so heavy felt the morning,
and I failed to take the warning.
I expected a beauty in the mirror in east,
but what the mirror reflected was a beast.

My long tresses had shortened,
and my biceps fattened.
Eight struck the wall clock,
and I continued looking at the figure in shock.
Overnight I’d turned into a man,
a handsome one too, with a brown tan.
My brother entered the room as he usually would,
and seeing the new me, ran as fast as he could.
I spoke when I picked up the ringing phone,
and noticed my voice had become baritone.
I hung up the receiver and inspected the cause,
how did nature suddenly change its laws?

The ultimate reality gave me a shuddering scare,
when I realized the culprit was the chair!
The gateway to becoming a man,
was the chair under the fan.
The dreadful reality was finally disclosed,
but there was more it still enclosed.
I decided to hide in my room till the day ceased,
as I couldn’t stand the beauty-turned-beast.
Before I could warn my brother of the haunted,
he repeated my actions undaunted.
He was still a man,
when he sat on the chair under the fan.
I knew what was to come, with no second guesses,
when in the morning I saw in the bed, a woman with long tresses!
