“Control your thoughts, don’t let them control you….”
How are you all doing today? Isn’t it fun to read such quotes in the morning? They sound very healthy and hearty. They radiate pleasant thoughts and a cheerful mood. Simply no doubt about it.
But then, what do we do after getting all the merry and lively thoughts and good spirit? We go back into our real life with the same monotony of impatience. It is pretty much the same situation as reading the quote, getting inspired in thoughts, and going back to lose patience over your partner over breakfast.
So what should you be doing with such quotes? What exactly is meant by getting inspired? How does motivation work with such quotes?
These and similar questions arise in everyone’s minds. We will understand the process of “inspiration” today, using the line I have quoted.
When you read a quote, understand the real meaning by decoding the line, word by word.
Control – Have patience and don’t overreact
Your – Focus on yourself and not snivel about others
Thoughts – Know what you are thinking and make a mental note of it
Don’t – DO NOT – Negative thoughts need a no, learn to say it to yourself
Let – Filter your thoughts and let in only constructive ones
Them – Never let go of your mental notes until they reach a conclusion
Control – This control is to do with arrogance and greed which must be controlled
You – You should retain yourself without getting moulded into what your thoughts shape you
Summarizing the notes we made, we can say that have patience with those around you without complaining about them to others, which will control any negative thoughts. This will protect you from losing your natural character to temporary thoughts.
But how is this implemented in real life? The moment a situation comes up when something does not go as you planned, do not lose patience. Instead see what can be done to make it go your way without stirring up any issues for others. Once a process becomes clear, it automatically sets in comfortable thoughts.
